MELBOURNE, Fla. (Volleyball) – The Florida Tech volleyball team (8-22, 2-14 SSC) saw its season come to a close Friday night in a 3-0 defeat to Florida Southern (20-10, 11-5 SSC) in the Panthers' season finale at the Clemente Center (25-17, 25-23, 25-20).
FIT finished with a hit percentage of .202 with 39 kills and 16 attack errors. The Moccasins posted 45 kills and 13 errors on .276 hitting.
Heather Bowersox paced the Panthers with a team-high 11 kills and just one error to go along with three block assists. Seniors
Kiayna O'Neal and
Jenna Schaffer tallied six kills apiece in their final collegiate match. Schaffer also collected nine digs.
Kiersten Rosa notched a double-double on 21 assists and 19 digs.
Anna Tovo led all players with 19 kills. Nicole Mattson added 11 kills for the Mocs. Bethany Besancenez dished out 39 assists to go along with 10 digs and Brindl Langley finished with 21 digs.
