MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men's Basketball) – Former Florida Tech men's basketball standout, Chris Carter, has been named the 2 Basketball Bundesliga Player of the Month for March.
Carter was spectacular during March, guiding his club, Niners Chemnitz, to a 3-2 mark while average 14.6 points, 7.6 assists and five rebounds per game over that span.
His outstanding month helped lead his Niners Chemnitz club to the No. 3 seed in the German Pro A Playoffs. Chris and his Niners teammates have already kicked off the National Championship Playoffs and lead the Trier Gladiators 2-1 in the best-of-five playoff series. Game 4 will take place Saturday, Apr. 15, on the road in Trier, Germany where Niners Chemnitz hope to close out the quarterfinal series and advance to the Pro A semifinals next week.

Billy Mims. "I am so proud of Chris and how he is representing himself and our program over there. He is an outstanding ambassador for Florida Tech both on the court and in the community. After playing his first season of pro basketball for Bippa Odessa in the Ukraine, where he put up numbers to be the Import Player of the Year, and now having another stellar campaign in his second pro season in Germany, Chris is getting the opportunity to see the world through the game of basketball.

The Port St. Lucie, Florida product has also been named the Eurobasket.com Player of the Week for the German Pro A league twice this season.
