MELBOURNE, Fla. - In a night that started out with a celebration of women's soccer senior members for their dedication to the team. The celebration continued till the end of the contest as Florida Tech (7-7-1, 4-4-0 SSC) took down Lynn (4-9-1, 2-6-1 SSC), 3-2.

It was an action-packed game where momentum shifted at a drop of the hat. The Panthers kicked off the match in control as the Fighting Knights did not cross midfield for about the first 10 minutes of the contest. 

This domination persisted for the first 30 minutes as FIT give the keeper all the work she could handle before Samantha Grim (2) finally slipped one past. 

This woke up Lynn as they started to attack and ended up evening the score up at 1-1 only eight minutes later.

After halftime, Florida Tech snatched the momentum back as they came out the locker room and netted two goals in the first 12 minutes.  Maria Munoz (6) scored the game winner as she beat the keeper a little over four minutes after the whistle.

Senior Kelley Johnson (3) tacked on the insurance goal only seven minutes later as the team appeared to be firing on all cylinders. 

Despite this, the Knights made it a game again as they buried a shot in the 62nd minute to bring the score to 3-2. 

The two defenses tightened up after the flurry as they did not allow another goal over the final 28 minutes of action.

The Panthers will hit the road for its second to last match of the season as they head west to Tampa, Florida on Saturday, Oct. 20, to take on the Tampa Spartans. This match is set tokick off at 7 pm ET.
