Melbourne, Fla. (Volleyball) - On Tuesday night, the Panthers went up against the Tars for another conference match . Florida Tech (5-12, SSC 2-7) defeated Rollins College (3-13, SSC 1-8) in three straight sets (28-26, 25-10, 25-20).
Florida Tech concluded their victory with a total of 34 kills on 93 attempts for a hitting percentage of .172. The Panthers also recorded a total of 33 assists, seven serve aces, 46 digs and 11 blocks topping the Tars in every category.
Senior
Kelly Germain, collected an impressive 14 kills on 24 attempts for a hitting percentage of .417. With this outstanding performance, Germain now ranks 14th in the SSC kills category. Also, senior
Olivia Hersey registered a total of nine kills on 14 attempts for a hitting percentage of .571. Hersey also had six blocks during the match and now ranks 6th in the SSC rankings for blocks.
Defensively, senior
Becca Bower recorded a total of 14 digs during three sets of play and senior Heather Bowesox tallied nine digs and three blocks.
Next up, the Crimson and Gray will be back on the court Oct. 5th against Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. The match is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
