BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Tech women's soccer (4-3-1) found themselves cruising to 1-0 victory after a goal less than 3 minutes into the action pushed the team past Lynn (3-3).

Maria Munoz was the lone goal scorer on the night as she powered in her fifth goal of the season. Maria Sanchez Recuero and the rest of the defense were equally impressive in what was their second straight clean sheet.

It did not take long for Florida Tech to get going in this regional showdown as the immediate pressure off the whistle paid off big time in a Munoz goal only 2:44 into the match. The rest of the half was back and forth as both teams would trade a few shots but it was mostly a defensive battle. 

However, the Panthers attack came alive in the second half firing off 14 shots compared to Lynn's three but Lina Lundgren put together a great performance that kept Florida Tech from extending its lead. 

The Crimson and Gray will look to keep the ball rolling on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m., when they head to Eckerd for a Sunshine State Conference showdown.
