Panthers Fall to Nova on the Road

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Florida Tech women's soccer (4-5-1, 1-2 SSC) fell 3-1 in an intense match against Nova Southeastern (7-4, 2-1 SSC). The match saw a wild finish as three of the four goals were scored between the 80:50 - 83:50 time marks.

The Panthers and Sharks were traded shots in the first half with Florida Tech taking a slight advantage, 6-4. However, Nova struck late in the first half took a 1-0 into the locker room.

After the second half whistle, the action continued in a similar manner with the teams trading shots but the defenses prevailed. This all changed in the final ten minutes of the contest.

Nova struck again in the 80th minute to push it to 2-0. Florida Tech's Keira McCarthy brought it back to a one-goal differential only two minutes later.

But another quick strike by the Sharks pushed their lead back to two goals as this ended the scoring at 3-1.

Florida Tech will return to the familiar confines of Rick Stottler field for a Sunshine State Conference battle with Saint Leo. This match is set for Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.
