Melbourne, Fla. - Florida Tech men's swimming started their season at the Panther Aquatic Center on Saturday morning.
The men's first race came in event two with the 200 medley relay. Florida Tech took third place with a combine swim of 1:37.29 with
Carlos Obregon, Rust, Reston Barlett and
Kerry Ollivierre.
Sam Hartle placed third in the 1000 free race earning a time of 10:26.92.
Senior
Jose Coiman-Acosta placed second in the 200 free recording a time of 1:46.39. Coiman later raced in the 100 free where he placed third with a time of 48.53.
In the 100 fly,
Reston Bartlett took third place with a time of 53.91.
Dain Rust started the season with a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 58.75.
In the 200 free relay, the Panthers were able to record a second place finish with a total time of 1:27.66. The relay was formed by Coiman, Ollivierre,
Farran Barker and Thomas McHenry.

The Panthers head to Fort Lauderdale for the Shark Invitational at Nova. The meet run through Friday, October 11-12th.
