MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech women's soccer played inspired soccer in the face of adversity that stemmed from injury. But unfortunately it was not enough as the team fell 1-0 to Nova Southeastern.
The Panther attack was a team effort as six Panthers registered a shot and five of them were on target.
Keeper
Maria Sanchez Recuero had one of the best games of the season as she erased eight shots and allowed only one goal.
Florida Tech kept pace with the undefeated Sharks throughout much of the match as Tech limited NSU's chances on goal. This surge led to it being a 0-0 game at the half.
The second half saw the Panthers pick up their intensity but unfortunately a Nova goal came off a header from a corner kick in the 78
th minute. This would be the only goal of the night as Florida Tech fell 1-0.
Florida Tech will look to end its skid Wednesday, Oct. 9, when they welcome Eckerd to Rick Stottler Field. This match is set to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
