MELBOURNE, Fla. – A bad first half for Florida Tech women's soccer sunk the women against Eckerd as he Panthers fell to the Triton 3-1.

Maria Munoz was the sole goal scorer for the Crimson and Gray. This was the Weston, Florida, native's fifth goal of the season and her 21
st of her career which puts her into a tie for third with Tech legend Casey Lademann.
Florida Tech started off slow as they let up three goals in the first half despite a 12-5 shot advantage and 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.
The Panthers woke up in the second half as they outplayed the Tritons which showed in Tech's 14-7 shot advantage. This helped the women grab their only goal of the night as an
Alyssa Bartle through ball set up Munoz and she buried it into the top left corner. This would be the final goal of the match as the team lost 3-1.
Florida Tech looks to get back to its winning ways Saturday, Oct. 12, when the team head to Lakeland, Florida
, for a 7 p.m. ET match with Florida Southern.
