MELBOURNE, FLA. - Florida Tech volleyball battled Florida Southern going five sets on Friday night. The Panthers were highlighted by junior Jocelyn Garcia who recorded 16 kills on 38 attempts for a .289 hitting percentage. Garcia also collected five blocks and three services aces on the Panther 3-2 fall against the Mocs.
The Crimson and Gray collected 52 kills on .137 team attacking rate. Tech also registered 49 assists, 14 services aces, nine blocks, and a season-high 129 digs.
Maddalena Fairchild led the team in assists with 42 and 13 digs to complete her first double-double of the season. The sophomore also collected four blocks, four services aces, three kills.
Audrey Keenan, Elena Ciulli, Tania Kottke, and Christina Mayberry all collected eight kills each for the Panthers. Keenan also collected 30 digs and Kottke added 16 digs to her credit.
Kyra Atkinson was the digs leader collecting 38 digs for Florida Tech.
