Men's Soccer Ready for Battle Against the Fighting Knights

Thursday's Dec. 5 match between Florida Tech and Lynn kicks off at 3 p.m.

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Tech men's soccer quest for a national championship continues as the team heads to Boca Raton for the third round of the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers are set to take on the Super Region 2 No. 1 seed and No. 2 in the nation, Lynn.

This will be a rematch between the Sunshine State Conference's top two regular season teams and a chance for Florida Tech to assert dominance over Lynn for the second time this season. The Crimson & Gray won the first match in an intense, 1-0, showdown to hand the Fighting Knights its only loss of the year.

The Panthers grabbed its first NCAA tournament win since 1993 when they took out No. 16 West Florida in a 2-1 thriller a couple of weeks ago. While, Lynn looks to get over the hump of the third round, as this was the point in which their 2018 season ended against the eventual National Champions, Barry.

This match will be a battle of two well-balanced teams as both average over 1.8 goals per match and have limited their opposition to under one goal.
