FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Florida Tech women's basketball went to Fort Lauderdale for a showdown with Nova Southeastern. The Panthers attempted to mount a fourth-quarter comeback but they fell short and loss 78-63.
Tereza Sedlakova was the lead scorer for the Panthers as the senior went 6-11 and 6-8 from the foul line for 18 points.

The first half was a struggle for Tech as they could not get in a rhythm on either end of the court. This resulted in them being outscored 24-13 and 19-10. This put them behind 43-23 as they went into the locker rooms.
The third quarter continued the trend as the Sharks tallied 18 to the Panthers 12. Heading into the fourth quarter the score was 61-35.
But the fourth quarter was all Florida Tech as they dominated Nova from start to finish. The team put together multiple runs of six points or more in the quarter and this gave them a 28-17 advantage in the final 10 minutes.
However, the strong final quarter was not enough as the Crimson and Gray loss its fourth straight game and ninth road tilt of the year, 78-63.
The Panthers will head to Embry-Riddle Wednesday, Feb. 20, for the second game of the year against the Eagles. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. ET at the ICI Center.
