Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Women's Basketball Fall on Senior Night

MELBOURNE, Fla. – It was a special night in the Clemente Center as women's basketball paid its respect to its senior members in their final home appearance. Despite making it a two-possession game at the end of the third, Florida Tech was defeated 64-50. This loss, unfortunately, knocked the team out of contention for postseason play.

The two four-year seniors led the charge in their final home game at the Clemente Center as Tereza Sedlakova tied for a game-high 10 points and grabbed two boards. While Kailyn Ebb recorded six points and a team-high nine rebounds.

The contest started off slow as both teams struggled to score the basketball as only one basket was made in the first five minutes of play. However, the final five minutes saw both teams find the cylinder at the end of the quarter was 13-8 in favor of Rollins.

The Tars controlled the second quarter as they outscored the Panthers 20-14 and took a 33-22 advantage into the locker room.

Florida Tech came out strong in the third quarter as the women outpaced RC, 19-12. This made it a two-possession game, 41-45, as the teams headed into the final 10 minutes of action.

However, it was not meant to be as the Tars surged in the fourth and it was too much for the Crimson and Gray. At the final buzzer, the score was 64-50.

The Panthers final game of the season will be Saturday, March 2, as they head down to West Palm Beach, Florida. The team will tip off against Palm Beach Atlantic at 2 p.m. ET.
