Panthers Take Series from PBA

West Palm Beach, Fla. - The Panthers went up against Palm Beach Atlantic to wrap up the last away series of the season. Florida Tech was able to win the series in the first game of the doubleheader.  

In game one, Colin Cristello was the starter for the Panthers. He pitched five innings allowing six hits, three runs, a walk, and two strikeouts on the no decision. Jordan Murray earned the win for the Panthers and with this performance he improved his record to 2-0 on the season. 

Ryan Allain continues to dominate hitters as he picked up his 12 save of the season. 

Offensively, Brett Parrish continues to swing the bat well has he went 2-for-5 with a run and two RBI's. Parrish's batting average is now at .325 third highest on the team.

Raul Quintero also recorded two hits on three at bats with two runs, two RBI's and two hit by pitches. Quintero is getting back on track as he is now hitting .322 on the season. 

In game two, the Panthers were not able to earned the win on a close game (6-5). 

Rhett Willis was the starter for game two were he pitched 4.2 innings allowing four hits, two runs, and four strikeouts on the no decision. 

Pedro Rivera had a good day at the plate going 1-for-3 with a run, two RBI's, and a sac fly. 

Vincenzo Catanza had an impressive day recording three hits on four at bats with a RBI and a double. 

Dylan Owens scored two runs for the Panthers and recorded two hits on four at bats with a double. 

The Panther have six guys in the lineup hitting above .300 and a team batting average of .293 ranking sixth in the Sunshine State Conference. 

The pitching staff is also doing a good job recording a team ERA of 4.65 ranking sixth in the SSC.

The Panthers will be back home next weekend Saturday, May 4 to face Barry University at 6 p.m.
