MELBOURNE, FLA. - Florida Tech men's swimming competed for the last time at the Panther Aquatic Center in the 2019-20 season. Head Coach
David Dent had a ceremony before the meet honoring all the seniors and thanking them for their services.
The men defeated the Fighting Knights 176-81 to give the seniors one last victory. Tech also won the combine teams score 281-237.
The men started the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay (1:35.62). The relay was swum by
Carlos Obregon,
Dain Rust,
Daniel Aizenberg, and
Kerry Ollivierre.
Noah Emerson (1:47.82),
Ethan Kennedy (1:48.51), and
Alexander Kidd (1:52.29) swept the 200-yard freestyle.
Daniel Aizenberg recorded a win in the 100-yard backstroke improving his seed time to 51.11.
Seniors
Dain Rust and
Jose Coiman-Acosta finished back-to-back earning first and second place.
In the 50-yard freestyle,
Adrian Grant and
Farran Barker took first and second with a time of 21:91 and 21.92.
Senior
Kerry Ollivierre earned first improving his seed time to 47.40.
The men, in the 200-yard backstroke, swept Lynn with
Alexander Kidd,
Nathaniel Allen, and
Ferron Van Ritter. Tech also swept the 500-yard freestyle with
Ethan Kennedy,
Brandon Christensen, and
Dylan Hammond.
Obregon had another first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.45.
The last event of the meet was the 200-yard freestyle relay in which the Panthers won recording a time of 1:25.89.
Kerry Ollivierre,
Dain Rust,
Jose Coiman-Acosta, and
Yohann Emmert improved the Panthers seed time by almost a full second.
Next, the Crimson and Gray will compete at the Sunshine State Conference Championship at Clearwater, Fla. on February 12th.
