FIRST HALF:
- Both teams struggled to find the rim to start the first quarter. A made three-point jumper off a Tech turnover gave Rollins their first lead, 8-5, with 3:08 to go in the first.
- Tech took the lead back, 13-12, with two baskets from the charity stripe by Fanny Paulin and a Dalma Ehmann layup. 8:42 remaining in the second quarter.
- Rollins went on a 9-0 run once again grabbing the lead. Hannah Roney answered back making two consecutive baskets beyond the arc cutting the Panther deficit to two.
- Rollins closed out the half with a three, 29-24 at the break.
SECOND HALF:
- Teams exchanged baskets for the first four minutes of the second half. Scoring drought occurred for the following 4:12 minutes.
- Fanny Hakanson cut the drought with a three-point jumper off a Rollins turnover.
- Roney capped off third quarter with three to give Tech a two-point lead, 39-37.
- Tech grabbed their largest lead of the game, 41-37, with Roney drawing a shooting foul and bucketing two free throws, 8:59 remaining.
- Rollins answered back with a 7-0 run to lead 44-41.
- Aiste Vaitekunaite sunk a three for Tech before the Panthers experience another scoring drought. Rollins went 7-0 to close out the game.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Roney led the Crimson & Gray with 11 points, four rebounds, and two steals.
- Vaitekunaite charted eight points, four rebounds, and two steal.
- Cheyenne Scott posted a team-high seven rebounds, including five offensive boards.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Rollins shot 38.3% (18-47) from the field, 37% (10-27) from beyond the arc, and 61.5% (8-13) from the line. Tech recorded 24.2% (15-62) shooting including 18.2% (6-33) from the three and 83.3% (10-12) from the charity stripe.
- Tech held an advantage in rebounds (41-37), points in the paint (16-12), and steals (11-4). Rollins recorded 20 turnovers to Tech's 12.
UP NEXT: Florida Tech is back in action Saturday, Dec. 11 when they head to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to take on Nova Southeastern. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
