Panthers Drop Doubleheader Against the Spartans

Tampa, Fla. - Florida Tech baseball traveled to face No.2 Tampa on a doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Panthers struggle to get any offense going as they posted just eight hits in both games. Tech combined a total of one run in both games in today's defeat ( 7-0 and 1-0).

In game one, the Panthers recorded just four hits in nine innings and could not score a run. Raul Quintero, Rodnie Bernard, Dylan Owens, and Alec Eldridge were the only Panthers to record a base hit.

In game two, Tech just recorded four hits once again. Two of the hits came from freshman outfielder Sam Schner who had a 2-for-3 game.

Justin Lorenz started the second game for Florida Tech, pitching five scoreless innings allowing two hits, and posting three strikeouts.

The Crimson and Gray will be back Thursday, March 25, to face Barry University at Andy Seminick Les-Hall Field. The single game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. EST.
