Ryan Moon picked up his first career win as a collegiate head coach on Friday as the Panthers earned a decisive 4-1 season-opening victory over Auburn-Montgomery.Â

STATS OF THE MATCH:Â
- The match started off with an early goal from Mariana Mazzocca in the 10'Â off assists from Alyssa Bartle and Marem Ndiongue.
- Panthers pushed their lead to 2-0 when Mayara Queiroz Reis found the back of the net in the 34' off an assist from Ndiongue.
- Tech made it 3-0 in the 36' as Bryson Boyer finished off a nice feed from Avery Kloeppel.
- Tech outshot AUM in the first half 11-1 and had a 7-0 advantage in shots on goal.
- Panthers increased the lead to 4-0 when Emily Swope scored in the 60' off a corner by Ndiongue.
- AUM ended the Panthers chance for a clean sheet when the Warhawks scored with three seconds remaining off a free kick to make it a 4-1 final.
- Tech finished with a 19-3 edge in shots and 12-2 advantage in shots on goal.
- Panthers led the game in corners 9-1

"It was a great start to the season for us," said Moon. "We put together a lot of the things we had been working on the last year and did them at an intensity we want to sustain moving forward. It was a full team effort and the players gave everything for each other. We'll be looking to continue to build from today as we move forward."
BEYOND THEÂ BOXSCORE:
- With the win, Florida Tech is now 2-0 all-time against AUM with both results coming in road games in Montgomery.Â
- This is the Panthers first road win to open a season since beating St. Mary's 2-0 in 2015.
- Ndiongue is the first player to record two assists in a game since Keira McCarthy had two assists against Lynn on Sept. 20, 2017.Â
