COACHES CORNER
"We had a really good week of training," said head coach
David Dent. "I pushed the team really hard, they were pretty beat up, so our times weren't really where they typically are for dual meets, but I feel like how hard I pushed them that it's kind of what I expected. So, I think they responded pretty well to the training and I'm really looking forward to conference because of how hard they're pushing it right now."
"We missed out on a big portion of our winter training, but I think it's paying off for us pretty well. Instead of doing a lot of volume during that week, we missed out on that but when we jump back into the back into the water, we kind of just focused on intensity. And I think that's really paying off instead of having that big volume to build off of now we're just having that intensity to carry through until we back off before the conference meet."
"This senior class, it's special to me, because this is the first class that I recruited to Florida Tech. So, seeing them stay all four years and make it to graduation, it was kind of bittersweet. I love every single one of them and I know a lot of them have big goals and big dreams outside of the swimming world that they are achieving and that they're going to accomplish after they graduate and I'm just very proud of them. They helped me through a lot and I hope I helped them through a lot and I just hope to see them come back and get back to our team in the future too."
The Panthers concludes the regular season on Friday, Jan 28 at Florida Southern.
