FIRST HALF:
- Sailfish got out to a fast 5-0 lead after a three-pointer and a steal that lead to a fast break layup.
- PBA advanced their lead to 10-4 scoring five unanswered points with 3:08 remaining in the first quarter.
- Panthers answered back with a 7-0 run over a minute and a half period to take their first lead 11-10. Makayla Daniels recorded a layup and Aayana Nedd bucketed a three-point jumper and a layup off steals by Daniels and Farah Shaaban.
- A pair of sailfish threes found the Panther's trailing, 21-15.
- PBA's lead reached 33-24 with 1:54 left on the clock.
- A field goal from under the basket by Dalma Ehmann and a Severine Uggen three from the right side closed the gap to four, 33-29, just before halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Sailfish opened the second half with a 14-2 run stretching their lead, 46-31, going into the final quarter.
- Panthers clawed their way back with an 8-0 run, cutting the deficit to seven with 5:15 to go.
- Answering back, the sailfish charted a layup and two free throws to bring their lead back to double-figures.
- Three baskets beyond the arc by Tech in the remaining 1:37 wasn't enough to push past PBA as the sailfish took the win, 53-48.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Uggen led the Panthers with 13 points on 5-9 shooting, four rebounds, and one assist.
- Ehmann followed with 10 points and five rebounds.
- Daniels charted eight points shooting 4-9 and tallied five rebounds.
- Fanny Paulin posted six points and a team-high seven rebounds.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Tech finished the game shooting 43.2% (19-44) from the field, 40% (6-15) from beyond the arc, and 50% (4-8) on free throws.
- Sailfish shot 33.9% (20-59) in the contest, 22.7% (5-22) from the three-point range, and 47.1 (8-17) at the line.
- PBA out rebounded Tech (39-31) and held the advantage in points off turnovers (15-11), points in the paint (28-26), fast break points (16-6), and steals (13-10).
