FIRST HALF:
- It was back-and-forth early on in the first quarter but the Panthers were able to grab a 7-4 lead after a steal by Fanny Paulin led to a fastbreak layup by Aiste Vaitekunaite with 5:56 to go.
- An acrobatic shot off the glass by Paulin gave Tech an 11-6 edge but the Spartans answered with an 11-0 run, including three straight makes beyond the arc, to corral a 17-11 lead with 2:06 left in the first.
- Tampa led 20-13 at the end of the opening frame.
- Spartans pushed their lead to double-figures, 24-13, on a jumper by Melijah Sullivan with 8:37 to go in the second quarter.
- A three by Hannah Roney off an assist from Cheyenne Scott cut the deficit to eight, 24-16, with 6:54 remaining in the half.
- Tampa closed the half on a 16-4 run and carried a 40-20 advantage into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Makyla Daniels knocked down the Panthers first two shots of the half to make the margin 42-24 with 9:44 to go in the third quarter.
- Tampa outscored Tech 13-3 the rest of the quarter and went into the fourth ahead 55-27.
- Roney stole the ball away on Tampa's first possession of the final quarter, leading to a fastbreak three from Severine Uggen that made it a 55-30 game with 9:30 to go.
- Spartans outscored the Panthers 10-8 the rest of the contest with the final points for Florida Tech coming on a buzzer-beating three by Anthi Savvidou.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Hannah Roney led the team with 6 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals on 2-5 shooting
- Aiste Vaitekunaite recorded 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal on 3-9 from the field
- Fanny Paulin finished with 5 points, a team-high 8 rebounds and 3 steals on 2-8 shooting
