MELBOURNE, Fla.- The Panthers earned their first win over PBA since 2012. Florida Tech entered tonight's match in a five-way tie for second place in the Sunshine State Conference, including the Sailfish.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The Panthers played aggressively from the beginning and were in control for most of the game.
- The Sailfish attempted a shot by Yannick Toth early in the game, but Luis Tovar Romero, Sr. came up with the save.
- Tech responded when the ball bounced off the chest of Ettore Casadei and deflected into the net just 14 minutes into the first half.
- Casadei scored his fifth goal of the season.
- Just before halftime, PBA tried to answer with a corner kick, but Harry Gardner's shot was saved by Tovar Romero, Sr.
- Florida Tech led 1-0 at the half.
- 10 minutes into the second half, PBA's Orion McHugh received his second yellow card of the evening, resulting in an ejection.
- PBA was forced to play the remainder of the game with 10 men.
- Tech took advantage and five minutes later Jack Edwards came up with a nice shot to put the Panthers ahead 2-0.
- The Panthers had the momentum, and they weren't done scoring yet.
- In the 78th minute of the game a cross by Tom Windle landed at the foot of Edwards right in front of the net and Edwards was able to extend Tech's lead to 3-0.
- Edwards was on fire tonight scoring his third and fourth goal of the season.
- Tovar Romero, Sr. recorded two saves, while PBA's Guillermo recorded three saves.
- The Panthers had the edge in shots 23-6 and shots on goal 6-2.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 11-14-3 all- time against Palm Beach Atlantic.
- This is the first time the Panthers have scored three goals in a game this season.
- Windle's assist was his first of the season and the first of his career.
- Tovar Romero, Sr. leads the SSC with six shutouts.
- Tech leads the conference in goals allowed only allowing seven goals through 11 games.
- Edwards has scored in back-to-back games for the first time this season.
- 11 games undefeated to start the season is the longest streak for the men since the 1994 season.
UP NEXT: Florida Tech will be back at home in an exhibition game against Atlantis University on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Kick-off is set for 7pm.
