WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - In its second match of the week, Florida Tech hit the road to take on Palm Beach Atlantic. The Panthers defeated the Sailfish 2-1 to win their third consecutive SSC match.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Inside the opening minute, the Panthers were fouled inside the box which gave Mayara Queiroz a penalty kick opportunity that she made no mistake with to give her team a 1-0 lead.
- The lead was doubled in the 14th minute on a free kick where Halla Helgadottir found Queiroz for her second goal of the match.
- Right at the brink of halftime, the Sailfish cut the lead in half with a goal from Marina Leal after a Panthers turnover.
- Tech outshot PBA eight to four in the first half.
- The Sailfish attempted to claw all the way back in the second half, but the Panthers held strong shutting them out in the final 45 minutes.
- Florida Tech had five corner kicks on the night while PBA had two.
- There were three yellow cards given out, two to the Sailfish and one to the Panthers.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech improves to 14-3-0 all time against Palm Beach Atlantic.
- The Panthers' three-game win streak is a season-high.
- Queiroz has three goals in her last two matches.
- Helgadottir has an assist in three consecutive matches and is now tied with Katherine Cunningham with a team-high of four assists for the season. With the win, Tech remains in fourth place in the SSC, just one point behind third place Embry-Riddle.
