LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Tech volleyball team traveled to Lakeland, Fla. Saturday evening for a match against the Florida Southern Moccasins (Mocs). Florida Southern managed to come away with the 3-0 win against the Panthers which moved Tech's record to 12-10 overall and 4-7 in the Sunshine State Conference.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- Threw the first few points of the match the Panthers battled and lead 7-6 before the Mocs jumped out to a 13-7 lead.
- After attempts to regain the lead the Panthers trailed 18-11 before FS rallied for five more points to jump ahead 23-11
- The Mocs eventually took set one by a score of 25-12.
- Set two saw the panthers take a 3-2 lead over the Mocs before the match was tied at 5-5.
- Tied at five all, the Mocs went ahead 8-5.
- The Crimson and Grey would get some momentum on their side rallying for four straight points making it 14-12 Fla. Southern lead.
- The Panthers brought the match to withing two points trailing 17-15.
- The Mocs would go on to score eight of the next nine point to take set two by a score of 25-16.
- Set three saw the Panthers fight hard not going down without a fight as they jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. With Fla. Southern regaining the lead at 4-3, the panthers scored four straight points and jumped ahead 7-4.
- Six unanswered points from the Mocs didn't discourage the Panthers however as they rallied back for four more points to take the lead again 11-10.
- A couple back and forth lead changes saw the set tied at 14-14, and again at 16-16.
- the Mocs pulled ahead 22-18 before scoring three out of the next four points to take the match 3-0.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- As a team, Florida Tech still has the most digs amongst all teams in the SSC with 1256.
- Kari Bogen's 23 digs against the Mocs allowed her to surpass the single season 400 digs mark, as she also continues to lead the conference with 402 digs this season.
- Katie Erdmann ranks second amongst individuals in points, (365), points per set (), kills (335) and kills per set (4.45).
UP NEXT: The Panthers are back on the road this Tuesday, October 25
th at Saint Leo where they'll take on the Lions at 7:00 pm at the Marion Bowman Activities Center before hosting Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday, October 28
th at 7:00 PM and then again hosting #16 Barry the following day at 4:00 PM for a couple of SSC matchups.
