MELBOURNE, Fla. - With a chance to move up to third in the SSC standings, Florida Tech hosted No. 11 Embry-Riddle for a huge matchup late in the regular season. The Panthers battled tough, but ultimately fell to the Eagles 1-0.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- In the 37' the Panthers had its best scoring chance of the game as Morgan Miller found the end of a Jessica Cravero cross that just sailed high over the crossbar.
- The Eagles broke the dead lock in the 40' on a Kaitlyn Kogl strike from the edge of the box that deflected off a Panther's defender into the back of the net.
- At halftime, Embry-Riddle had outshot Florida Tech 5-2.
- In the second half, Florida Tech continued to press forward with nine shots, but was unable to get any past Eagles goalie Oona Jokinen.
- With less than a minute remaining in the match JoJo Michaels sent in a cross that was teasing for the Panthers attackers, but Jokinen snagged it out of the air before Tech could get a touch on it.
- Each team had five shots on goal for the match.
- Embry-Riddle led corner kicks on the night 7-6.
- In what was a physical match at times, the Eagles fouled 14 times while the Panthers were called for five fouls.
- May Queiroz led Florida Tech in shots with four, two of which were on target.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech falls to 3-7-2 all time against Embry-Riddle.
- The Eagles have won five in a row in the series.
- The loss guarantees that Florida Tech will finish in fourth place of the SSC regular season.
- This is the first time this season that the Panthers have dropped two consecutive matches.
