SAINT LEO, Fla.- The Lady Panthers traveled to Saint Leo Tuesday night for another conference matchup.
Tai Roberts scored a career-high 23 points, but it wouldn't be enough for the Panthers to defeat the Lions.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

FIRST QUARTER
- Remingtyn Smith got Tech on the board early with a layup.
- Saint Leo responded with an 8-0 run to go up 8-2 with 3:59 left.
- Emily Acampora ended the scoring drought with a layup.
- Severine Uggen ended the quarter with a deep three-pointer to pull Tech within five.
SECOND QUARTER
- Saint Leo opened the quarter scoring a quick five points before Tai Roberts was fouled and headed to the line for two shots. Roberts made both of her free-throws.
- With 5:45 to go the Panthers went on a 5-0 run to cut the lead to five: 19-14.
- Divine Guthrie scored her first points of the night with a jumper at the 2:17 mark.
- Heading into the half the Panthers trailed by seven.
THIRD QUARTER
- Back-to-back free throws from Makayla Daniels and Roberts pulled Tech within five again.
- A 6-0 run by the Lions pushed the lead to 13 with 5:07 left.
- Tech battled back with their own 6-0 run to pull within seven.
- At the end of the third the Lions led 52-37.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Looking to make a run, Uggen hit a deep three-pointer followed by a free throw from Daniels and another three from Uggen to start the fourth quarter.
- With 5:24 to go the Lions went on an 8-0 run to extend their 19.
- Roberts scored 8 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter.
- The Lions dominated in the paint outscoring the Panthers 40-12.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Roberts had a career high night with 23 points, four rebounds, and two assists,
- Uggen added 11 points and three rebounds
- Acampora tallied six points, four rebounds, one assist and a steal.
- Stranger-Johannessen and Daniels both put up five points each.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 53-22 in the all-time series against Saint Leo.
- The Panthers shot 28% (15-54) from the field, 33% (7-21) from behind the three-point line, and 79% (19-24) from the free-throw line.
- Saint Leo shot 48% (31-64) from the field, including 22. % (5-23) from the three, and 80% (8-10) at the line.
- Saint Leo led in rebounds (40-31), second chance points (14-9), and fast break points (19-4), and bench points (17-15).
UP NEXT: Florida Tech will be back at home on Saturday, Dec. 10 to face Florida Southern College. Tip-off is set for 2:00pm.
