STATS OF GAME:

• After trailing 3-1 entering the bottom of the third inning, the Panthers went ahead to stay by scoring four runs in each of the following two frames.
• Tech scored in six of their eight turns at-bat on the night. 
• Eight of nine Panther starters recorded a hit, six of which were multi-hit efforts. 
• Five Tech batters drove in multiple runs
• Jakob Newton went three-for-six at the plate with a triple, two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases.
• Dylan Owens drove in three runs on the night to increase his season total to nine, which ties him for the team lead. 
• Paul Castillo had two doubles, two walks and three runs scored. 
• Freshman Zach Rodgers recorded his first win by throwing two and one-third innings of one-hit shutout ball in relief of starter Boris Villa. 
• Preston Schumacher made his first appearance on the mound since March 9, 2020 by pitching the final two innings. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

• This was the first meeting between the teams since February 21, 2010.
• The Panthers now lead the all-time series 8-1.
• The 60 runs scored and 58 hits tallied by the Crimson and Gray over the past four games are the most by FT in a four-game stretch since they scored 59 and logged 57 hits between March 19-25, 2016.
