FIRST QUARTER:
- Panthers opened the scoring with Chandler Hake netting the first tally of the season off an assist from Justin Williams just 1:07 into the game.
- After the Tars tied the game with 5:19 left in the first, Jakob Terpak scored his first career goal with 9 seconds to go in the quarter to put Tech up 2-1.
SECOND QUARTER:
- Williams tallied his lone goal of the contest off an assist from Ben Claffee to put Tech up 3-1 early in the second.
- Tars rattled off four straight goals before Williams assisted Stewart for his first goal as a Panther to cut Rollins' lead to 5-4 with 5:36 to go.
- Rollins added one more goal to go up 6-4 with 4:59 remaining.
- Panthers scored two goals over the final 2:53 on shots by Stewart and Hake to tie the game at 6-6 heading into halftime.
THIRD QUARTER:
- Tars opened the scoring in the second half and pushed their lead to 8-6 with 6:41 left in the third.
- Sam Sidari beat his defender down the wing and scored to trim the deficit to 8-7 heading into the fourth.
FOURTH QUARTER:
- Stewart tied the game up at 8-8 just 41 seconds into the fourth off an assist from Claffee, and then one minute later Williams gave the Panthers the lead, 9-8, with 13:19 to go.
- Rollins answered with back-to-back goals over a 54-second span to regain a 10-9 lead with 8:27 remaining.
- Tech was unable to find the equalizer the rest of the game and the Tars held on for the season-opening win.

- Collin Stewart recorded 3 goals and 1 assist on 10 shots to go along with 4 ground balls and 1 caused turnover
