INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

FIRST HALF:
- Sharks were first on the board with a jumper, but the Panthers quickly answered with a jumper down low by Aiste Vaitekunaite and a Hannah Roney three at the top of the key to take a 5-2 lead, 8:21 to go.
- A layup by Keanna Williams pushed NSU ahead, 11-10, until Lina Stranger-Johannessen kicked off a 10-2 run by the Panthers to close out the frame and lead 20-13.
- NSU opened the second with a pair of free throws, cutting into Tech's lead 20-15.
- Tech extended their lead on a 7-0 run, 27-15 with 7:23 remaining.
- Sharks outscored the Panthers, 17-6, to close out the half and cut the Panther lead, 36-32.
SECOND HALF:
- It was back and forth a majority of the third quarter until the Sharks drew a foul beyond the arc and made three baskets at the line to take the lead, 51-50 with 2:20 remaining.
- Over a minute later, Roney drew the foul on a made layup and converted the three-point play to put the Panthers down by 1, with 46 seconds remaining.
- A missed jumper by the Sharks, allowed for a Panther rebound. Roney drained the 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Panthers the lead, 59-57, going into the final quarter.
- NSU ensued on a 10-0 run taking a 67-61 advantage with 6:23 to go.
- Panthers answered back with a 7-0 run of their own, with back-to-back jumpers by Stranger-Johannessen and Uggen followed by a three-point play by Vaitekunaite that gave Tech back the lead, 70-69, 3:36 left.
- Teams traded baskets to put the score at 78-77 in favor of the Sharks.
- Tech took the lead on a jumper by Roney, 79-78, with under 30-seconds left in the contest, when NSU finished a layup attempted to give them a late 80-79 advantage.
- Stranger-Johannessen tied it up at 80 with a made free throw, 16 seconds to go.
- NSU came out of a timeout with a game-winning turnaround jumper in the paint to seal the win for the Sharks.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Uggen lead the Crimson & Gray with 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists on 8-13 shooting, including 3-5 from the three.
- Fanny Paulin added 16 points, six rebounds, and one steal on 5-9 shooting from the field, 4-6 from the three, and 2-2 at the line.
- Roney tallied 15 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, and two steals in 36 minutes of play.
- Vaitekunaite finished the contest with shooting 100% (5-5) with 12 points, four rebounds, and one steal.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Tech finished the game shooting 55.8 (29-52) from the field, 62.5% (10-16) from beyond the arc, and 75% (12-16) on free throws.
- NSU shot 49.1% (26-53) in the contest, including 44.4% (8-18) from the three-point range, and converted 78.6% (22-28) at the line.
- Panthers won the rebounding battle (31-25) and had an edge (28-25) in bench points.
- Sharks ended with the advantage in points in the paint (32-24), second chance points (10-6), and fast break points (10-0)
