STATS OF GAME 1:
- Dimerson Nunez grounded out to Alec Eldridge in the bottom of the first, scoring Mikey Burke giving the Tritons the first run of the game.
- Tyler Cox singled to right center, scoring Jake Andriole.
- Gunner Womer hit a sacrifice fly to left field, plating Cox.
- Peter Stavrokos homered to right field, scoring Gutcher and Wike, increasing the Tritons lead.
- The Panthers got on the board in the bottom of the second, when Alec Eldridge singled through the left side, advancing Dylan Owens to third, and scoring Brett Parrish.
- Paul Castillo hit a RBI double to left field, plating both Eldridge and Owens.
- Sam Schner hit a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Castillo.
- Jakob Newton homered to right field in the bottom of the third, scoring Jack Nagy in the process and tying the game.
- Eldridge singled through the right side in the bottom of the seventh, scoring Parrish, giving the Panthers the lead.
- Hayden Kimball hit a RBI double to left field, plating Eldridge.
- Sam Orozco pitched one-third of an inning, allowing three hits, five runs, and threw 21 pitches.
- Danny Vassallo pitched five and two-third innings, allowing seven hits, one run, and struck out three.
- Andres Rodriguez pitched a perfect two innings, striking out four Tritons.
- Alex Carpenter closed the game for the Panthers, allowing one hit on 17 pitches.
STATS OF GAME 2:
- The Panthers struck first when Alec Eldridge scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the second.
- The Tritons' first run came in the top of the fourth when Danny Gutcher singled to Hayden Kimball at shortstop, scoring Wike.
- The Tritons would extend their lead in the top of the sixth when Dimerson Nunez doubled to center field, plating both Tyler Young and Womer.
- Jake Andriole singled to left field in the top of the eighth, scoring Michael Ballard.
- The Panthers started to rally in the bottom of the ninth when Jack Nagy singled to right field, advancing Sam Schner to third, and scoring Hayden Kimball.
- Schner would then score on a wild pitch to cut the deficit in half.
- Brett Parrish hit a RBI single to right field, plating both Newton and Nagy, but the Panthers came up just short in the ninth inning.
- Justin Lorenz pitched four and two-third innings, allowing two hits, one run, struck out five Tritons, and threw 95 pitches.
- Aiden Pryzgoda pitched one inning, allowing no hits, two runs, and struck out two.
- Jason Englert pitched one and one-third innings, allowing one hit, two runs, and struck out four.
- Noah Steckley closed the game for the Panthers where he allowed three hits, one run, and struck out one.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first meeting between Florida Tech and Eckerd since March 2, 2019. The Panthers now lead the all-time series 67-52.
- This was Justin Lorenz's first appearance since February 19th.
