STATS OF GAME ONE:
- Panthers got off to a quick start plating four in the opening frame. Chloe French plated Cheyenne Nelson on a RBI single and Victoria Szrom hit a 3-run triple to center field.
- In the 3rd inning Tech added two more runs on a Lions error.
- Molloy got on the board in the top of the 4th with a two-run homerun, but the Panthers answered back with a two-run homerun of their own by Mikayla Lewin.
- Alex Hendrian (7-4) got the start in the circle allowing just three hits and two runs on two strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
- Allie Platon recorded her first save of the season throwing 3 1/3 innings allowing no runs, two hits and one walk on one strikeout.
- Two Panthers recorded multi-hit games.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- After two scoreless innings, each team tallied a run.
- Bears scored on a RBI single while Mikayla Wessel reached home on a single by Cheyenne Nelson for the Panthers.
- The action came for KU in the 7th inning as they recorded five runs. Bears plate one on a RBI double to right center, two on a single through the right side, and two more on a homerun over the left field wall.
- Panthers went down in order to end the game.
- Samantha Guider (8-5) got the start in the circle allowing 11 hits, four runs and two walks on three strikeouts.
- Allie Platon threw one innings allowing two hits and two runs on no strikeouts.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 6-0 all-time against the Molloy Lions. Their last meeting was Feb. 9, 2019.
- Tech moves 2-1 all-time against Kutztown. The last meeting between the two teams was March 15, 2017.
- Mikayla Lewin's homerun was her sixth of the season. Lewin is now tied at eighth all-time for homeruns in a single season.
- Cheyenne Nelson extended her hitting streak to 16 consecutive games.
