STATS OF THE GAME:
- Florida Tech broke the scoreless tie in the top of the 4th when Victoria Szrom doubled to left field sending Mikayla Lewin home.
- Sharks tied it up in the bottom of the 5th on a one-out sacrifice fly.
- In the bottom of the 6th, NSU took the lead on a RBI single.
- Panthers had one more chance to tie it up in the 7th but were unable to do so, leaving two on base.
- Five different Panthers recorded a hit in the loss with two accounting for an extra-base hit.
- Samantha Guider suffered the loss in the circle, allowing just five hits and two walks on two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings of work.
- Ashley Connor kept the Panthers off balance all game, scattering five hits in a complete game effort. The freshman struck out two and walked three to improve to 9-1 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 36-27 all-time against the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
- Cheyenne Nelson extended her hitting streak to 17 consecutive games.
