STATS OF THE GAME:
  • Back-to-back singles from Cheyenne Nelson and Chloe French put the Panthers in scoring position. Mikayla Lewin hit a stand-up double to plate Nelson and take a 1-0 lead in the top of the 3rd.
  • Mikayla Wessel reached home for run number two on a sacrifice fly by French in the top of the 5th.
  • Nelson went 2-3 with an extra base hit and one run.
  • Alex Hendrian moves to 6-2 on the season, giving up only four hits while striking out six en route to her second shutout of the year.
 
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
  • Panthers move to 83-35 all-time against Eckerd. The last meeting between the two teams was February 22, 2020.
  • Nelson's double was her eighth of the season. She leads the SSC in doubles.
  • Hendrian's shutout was the second of her career.
 
 
UP NEXT: Florida Tech concludes the series with the Tritons on Saturday with a double header beginning at noon at Turley Athletic Complex.
