STATS OF GAME ONE:
- Game one featured a five-run first inning for the Panthers.
- Tech pushed across five runs on four hits, capped by a three-run homerun by Jolie Miracle.
- Tritons scored three runs over the first two innings, one on a RBI double and two on two RBI singles.
- Adding a run in the 4th on a RBI single and two in the 5th on a two-run homerun gave Eckerd the lead, 6-5.
- Panthers back the lead after plating two in the 6th. With two outs Mikayla Wessel tripled and Mikayla Lewin followed with a homerun over the center field wall.
- A bases-loaded double in the top of the 7th by Whitney Ellis plated two more to advance the lead, 9-6.
- Panthers retired the Tritons in order to end the game and secure the win.
- Kelsie Rivers got the win in the circle to improve to 4-2 on the season.
- Alex Hendrian recorded the save allowing only one hit on two innings of work.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- A two-run homerun in the 3rd put the Tritons ahead, 2-0.
- EC added an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th on a RBI double.
- The Panthers eyed home in the top of the 7th as Chloe French doubled down the right field line and Jolie Miracle followed with a single.
- A throwing error allowed for French and Miracle to advance a base, putting Tech in scoring position. However, a fly out turned into a double play as the throw from right field to the EC catcher beat French to the plate to end the game.
- Eckerd's Hannah Perkins retired 15 batters straight. The Panthers did not see a base runner until the sixth inning.
- Hendrian (6-3) took the loss allowing six hits, three runs, and one walk on five strikeouts.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Panthers move to 84-35 all-time against Eckerd.
- Mikayla Wessel's triple in game one was the second of her career.
- Mikayla Lewin's homerun was her fourth of the season and sixth of her career.
- Jolie Miracle's homerun was the first of her career.
- With her two runs in game one, Wessel moved to eighth all-time for career runs with 99 runs.
