STATS OF GAME ONE:
- Panthers were first to home plate, scoring two in the bottom of the first. Mikayla Lewin and Chloe French each recorded a RBI single.
- EHC took the lead, plating five in the top of the 2nd. Morgan Silvis hit a two-run homerun, a runner advanced to home on an error, and Lydia Taylor blasted a two-run double.
- A three-run double to right field from Lewin tied it up, 5-5, heading into the third inning.
- Tech added eight runs over the fourth and fifth innings to run-rule EHC. Victoria Szrom's two-run homerun over the left field wall highlighted the eight runs.
- Allison Platon earned her second win of the season, improving to 2-0, allowing just two hits and three walks on three strikeouts.
- Ashley Campbell went 3-3 at the plate with three runs and one RBI.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- Back-to-back fielders choices gave the Wasps the first two runs of the game in the opening frame.
- Panthers answered back plating three on a RBI single from Mikayla Lewin, a RBI single by Chloe French, and a sacrifice fly from Ella Gibson.
- Whitney Ellis doubled to open the bottom of the 2nd. Ashley Campbell followed reaching on a fielder's choice and advancing to second on the throw, sending Ellis to third. Cheyenne Nelson singled to plate Ellis, then drew a tag-out play to allow Campbell to score and advance the lead, 5-2.
- Tech had a seven-run 4th inning, highlighted by Lewin's three-run homerun over the left field wall.
- In the bottom of the 4th, Tech added two runs. Campbell led off with a single, Nelson flied out sending Campbell to third, and Mikayla Wessel followed with a walk. A throwing error, as Wessel stole second, sent Campbell home. Lewin doubled to plate Wessel.
- Samantha Guider (7-3) allowed just five hits, two runs, and no walks on three strikeouts in five innings of work.
- Four different Panthers recorded extra-base hits.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first meeting between the two teams, Panthers are now 2-0 all-time against the Wasps.
- Victoria Szrom's homerun in game one was her third of the season and ninth of her career.
- Mikayla Lewin's homerun in game two was her fifth of the season and seventh of her career.
- Cheyenne Nelson extended her hitting streak to 11 games.
- Lewin recorded 10 RBI and 10 total bases on the day
- Six different Panthers recorded multi-hit games in both games.
