STATS OF THE GAME:
- Samantha Guider for the Panthers and Morgan Shannon of Saint Leo locked up in a pitchers' duel as each hurler kept the other team off the board for five innings.
- In the sixth inning, Mikayla Wessel led off reaching first on an error and took second. Chloe French's groundout pushed Wessel to third. Mikayla Lewin followed with a single to right field, scoring Wessel.
- Saint Leo answered back in the bottom of the 6th with a homerun over the left field wall to tie it up, 1-1.
- The winning run for the Lions came in the 7th on a fielder's choice to second.
- Guider got the start in the circle allowing five hits, one run, no walks on one strikeout in six innings of work.
- Kelsie Rivers (6-4) took the loss allowing one hit and one run in one-third of an inning.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 50-76-1 all-time against Saint Leo.
- Mikayla Wessel extended her on-base streak to 10 consecutive games.
