STATS OF GAME ONE:
- Saint Leo started the game off with a double to left field. Two batters later, Isabella Andujar hit a two-run homer over the center field wall to take a 2-0 lead.
- Lions added three unearned on one hit in the 3rd to advance the lead, 5-0.
- SLU tallied a run in each of the next three innings. The final run to reach the run-rule came on a RBI single, unearned.
- Alex Hendrian (9-7) suffered the loss in the circle, allowing eight hits and three earned runs on no walks and two strikeouts.
- Rachel Bean (8-3) held the Panthers to four hits and no runs on four strikeouts.
- Cheyenne Nelson recorded two of the Panthers four hits.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- A bases-loaded single in the opening frame gave SLU an early 1-0 lead.
- After five-straight scoreless innings, Tech hit back-to-back homers to take a 2-1 lead. Chloe French and Mikayla Lewin each blasted one over the left field wall.
- In the bottom of the 7th, the Lions went down in order ending the game.
- All three of Tech's hits were extra-base hits.
- Samantha Guider improved to 12-6 on the season allowing five hits, one run, and one walk in seven innings.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 51-77-1 all-time against Saint Leo.
- Cheyenne Nelson moved to eighth all-time in program history for career hits with 184.
- Mikayla Lewin's homerun in game two was her seventh of the season and ninth of her career.
- Lewin moved to seventh all-time for single season homeruns with seven.
- Chloe French's homerun in game two was her first of the season and third of her career.
