MELBOURNE, Fla.- Florida Tech returned to the Clemente Center looking to bounce back after a loss to Saint Leo. It was a physical back and forth game between the Panthers and the Tars from start to finish. The Panthers fell just short in the end and Rollins would come away with the win.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

FIRST QUARTER
- Sarah Liberatore got the Panthers going with a layup, but Rollins responded with a 3-pointer.
- A 5-0 run by Florida Tech put the Panthers in front 7-3 with 7:49 left.
- Tai Roberts got on the board scoring her first points of the day with a layup.
- On the other end of the court, Rollins hit consecutive baskets to end the quarter up 14-12.
SECOND QUARTER
- Emily Acampora pulled up for a three from beyond the arc to give the Panthers the lead 15-14.
- An 8-0 run by the Tars gave them a six-point lead with 4:27 left.
- Acampora was feeling another three-pointer to cut the margin to three. Divine Guthrie, who got her first start of the season hit a jumper to pull tech within one point.
- Rollins would end the quarter with a pair of free-throws to go back up by three; 28-25.
THIRD QUARTER
- Florida Tech came out of the half with a hot start scoring five straight points before Rollins hit back-to-back shots to take a two-point lead.
- Acampora for her third three of the game gave the Panthers a one-point lead with 3:02 left.
- Rollins had an answer for Tech scoring seven straight points to extend their lead to six.
- Florida Tech battled back with a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to one.
- With 0:19 seconds left; the Tars were able to put up a layup to give them a three-point lead.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Rollins would go on a 9-4 run to push their lead to eight with 6:19 to go.
- The Panthers came storming back exploding for six straight points to pull them within two with 1:11 left.
- Florida Tech had a few opportunities down the stretch to tie or take the lead, but they couldn't get their shots to fall, and Rollins would score the last six points of the night.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Stranger-Johanessen finished her night with 8 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
- Liberatore tallied 16 points and six rebounds.
- Acampora contributed 12 points three rebounds, and three assists.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 25-59 in the all-time series against Rollins.
- Florida Tech shot 27% (15-55) from the field, 30% (8-27) from behind the three-point line, and 68% (15-22) from the free-throw line.
- The Panthers led in second chance points (12-7), blocks (5-2), and steals (6-5).
- Rollins shot 40% (23-58) from the field, including 24% (6-25) from the three, and 64% (9-14) at the line.
- Rollins led in rebounds (48-32), points in the paint (26-12), and bench points (27-12).
