MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- The Panthers traveled to Miami Shores Wednesday looking to snap their four-game losing streak against the Barry Buccaneers. Florida Tech lost 65-48 against Barry in a midweek SSC matchup.

FIRST QUARTER
- Both teams had some trouble trying to get shots to fall. Neither team made a field goal for the first two minutes.
- Divine Guthrie headed to the free throw line after an early foul from the Buccaneers. Guthrie got the Panthers on the board making one out of two free throws.
- Tai Roberts grabbed her own rebound making the second-chance layup to give Tech a 5-0 lead with 5:11 left.
- Barry made their first field goal on a jumper with 4:52 to go.
- Aiste Vaitekunaite was fouled and converted all three of her free-throws to put the Panthers ahead 13-8.
- Roberts ended the quarter with a layup extending Florida Tech's lead to six.
SECOND QUARTER
- The Buccaneers opened the quarter with a 6-0 run to tie the game at 15.
- Barry battled back scoring six straight points to take the lead 21-16 with 5:13 left.
- A steal by Emily Acampora led to a layup by Remingtyn Smith to cut the deficit to three.
- A pair of free throws from Barry pushed their lead to six, but Sarah Liberatore responded on the other end with her first made three-pointer of the night.
- Heading into the third, Tech trailed 30-27.
THIRD QUARTER
- Lina Stranger-Johannessen tied the game at 30 with a three pointer.
- Roberts took advantage of a turnover from the Buccaneers racing down the other end of the court for a layup giving Tech a 37-36 lead with 3:47 to go
- Back-to-back baskets for Barry gave them a three-point lead.
- Roberts drove to the rim for another layup to cut the margin to one.
- The Buccaneers ended the quarter at the free throw line, making one of two shots.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Florida Tech only trailed by two with 9:23 left.
- Barry went on a 7-0 run and was able to go up by nine with 6:51 left.
- The Buccaneers exploded offensively on a 9-0 that gave them a 17-point lead with 2:33 left.
- Florida Tech was outscored 24-9 in the fourth quarter.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Roberts finished her night with 13 points, five rebounds, and three steals.
- Liberatore tallied 13 points and tied her season high with six rebounds.
- Vaitekunaite was the final panther in double digits contributing 10 points eight rebounds, and two blocks.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 45-36 in the all-time series against Barry.
- Florida Tech shot 30% (16-54) from the field, 17% (3-18) from behind the three-point line, and 65% (13-20) from the free-throw line.
- The Panthers led in steals (10-7) and fast break points (7-5).
- Barry shot 43% (23-54) from the field, including 21% (3-14) from the three, and 76% (16-21) at the line.
- Barry led in rebounds (44-32), points in the paint (32-20), and bench points (32-5).
- Both teams had 19 turnovers.
