MELBOURNE, FLA. – The Florida Tech Panthers held their senior day on Saturday evening against the Nova Southeastern Sharks in which the Panthers honored there two seniors
Josianne Keenan and Penelope Columbo.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Set:
- Nova Southeastern controlled the opening set early on with a 9-3 lead highlighted by two kills from Brittany Landrum.
- Tech shortened their deficit to three points to make it 15-12 NSU.
- The Sharks instantly recorded four more kills to lead by seven and make it 19-12.
- Five of the next seven points were rewarded to Tech as Lilian Muszynski and Chiara Patelli each tallied a kill to make it a 22-19 Nova Southeastern lead.
- The Sharks tallied three of the next five points to secure the first set by a score of 25-21 and take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Second Set:
- Set two saw Nova Southeastern jump ahead 8-5 following two more kills from Landrum.
- As Tech trailed 10-6, The Panthers rallied off three kills to make it a 10-9 set highlighted by two kills from Patelli and one from Kearns.
- The Sharks answered back with five straight points, two of which were kills from Nadia Lindner.
- After a timeout, Lexi Lueger tallied a kill for Tech to make it 15-10.
- As the Sharks were ahead by six at 17-11, they increased their lead to 21-11 with Landrum recording two kills and Taylor Stockman scoring from one kill and one service ace.
- Nova Southeastern continued their rune eventually securing the second set 25-14 and jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the match.
Third Set:
- Tech looked to fight back after going ahead 2-1 early in the third set.
- As Nova Southeastern recaptured the lead 4-3, the Panthers jumped ahead 6-4 before the Sharks tied it at 7-7.
- Tech recorded three straight points to pull ahead 10-7.
- Tech managed to extend its lead to 14-13 following a kill from Muszynski before the Sharks tied it at 14-14.
- As the Panthers trailed 15-14, Five straight points from Tech helped them go ahead 19-15 following two kills from Maria Jesus Munoz.
- Tech found a way to extend their lead to 22-19 with help from a kill by Josianne Keenan.
- Danelli Mejia helped Tech go ahead 23-22 as Lindner tied it 23-23.
- The Panthers managed to avoid the sweep, scoring the final two points of the set as Patelli and Kearns both tallied kills to give Tech the 25-23 third-set win.
Fourth Set:
- The Panthers and Sharks were neck and neck to open the fourth set, tied 7-7 with Kearns, Muñoz, and Lueger all recording kills for Tech.
- Both teams would find themselves tied again 13-13 after a kill from Keenan.
- Both teams found themselves tied 16-16 before a Mejia kill brought the Panthers ahead 17-16.
- Two points in a row for the Sharks made it 18-17 until a kill from Kearns tied it 19-19.
- Keenan helped the Panthers tie it again with a kill now 20-20.
- A four-point rally from the Sharks brought Nova Southeastern within one point of securing the match.
- After a service error by the Sharks, they recorded the final point of the match and secured the third set 25-21.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 22-35 all-time against Nova Southeastern
- Fishing the season with a .345 attack percentage, Chiara Patelli has broken the single-season record for the highest attacking percentage in a season which was set by Kelly Currin back in 2003 who finished with a .326 attack percentage.
- With 32 solo blocks, Patelli is also tied for the third most solo blocks in a season by a Panther along with Janelle Branch (2010) and Kellie Cornwell (1993).
