St. Petersburg, Fla.- The Panthers traveled to St. Petersburg Saturday afternoon to face #8 Eckerd.
Tai Roberts scored 17 points and added a career high 10 rebounds for Florida Tech, but ultimately Eckerd walked away with the win.

FIRST QUARTER
- Eckerd jumped out to an 11-1 lead with 6:13 to go.
- Divine Guthrie made a layup to cut the deficit to eight.
- Back-to-back baskets by Eckerd extended their lead to 13.
- Aiste Vaitekunaite's three-pointer cut the margin back to eight.
- The tritons ended the half with a jumper and a 20-10 lead.
SECOND QUARTER
- An 8-0 run by the Tritons pushed their lead to 18.
- Tai Roberts ended Eckerd's scoring run with a layup.
- Another scoring run by the Tritons gave them a double-digit lead.
- The Panthers offense found some momentum scoring 10 straight points. Their scoring run started with a pair of free throws from Lina Stranger-Johannessen followed by a layup from Roberts who was fouled on the drive to the rim.
- Sarah Liberatore was fouled made two free throws to pull Tech within 15.
- At halftime, the Panthers trailed 42-22.
THIRD QUARTER
- Both teams exchanged buckets back and forth until the Panthers went on a 9-0 scoring run to pull within 17.
- Eckerd responded scoring five straight points to push the lead back out to 22.
- Roberts scored the last four points of the quarter for the Panthers.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Dalma Ehmann had an opportunity for a three-point play to start the fourth quarter.
- Remingtyn Smith and Roberts had back-to-back baskets with 5:59 left.
- A 7-0 run with 3:16 left put Eckerd on top by 25.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Roberts finished her night with 17 points, a career high 10 rebounds.
- Ehmann tacked on seven points and two rebounds
- Smith and Stranger-Johannessen both had four points.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 52-27 in the all-time series against Eckerd.
- Florida Tech shot 33% (21-64) from the field, 15% (3-20) from behind the three-point line, and 83% (10-12) from the free-throw line.
- The Panthers led in points in the paint (24-22), second chance points (7-3) and steals (13-12).
- Eckerd shot 51% (30-59) from the field, including 42% (15-36) from the three, and 63% (5-8) at the line.
- The Tritons led in rebounds (39-35), bench points (15-13).
