STATS OF THE GAME:
- Nova Southeastern scored four runs on three hits in the 3rd inning to take the lead.
- Ella Niles had the first hit of the night for the Panthers with a bunt in the 3rd inning, but Cheyenne Nelson flied out to end the inning.
- The Sharks pitcher, Alyssa Drogemuller allowed just one hit through five innings.
- The Panthers had a chance in the sixth inning with runners on the corners, but a pop up from Mikayla Lewin ended the inning.
- NSU tacked on another run in the 7th inning to take a 5-0 lead.
- Tech battled back starting the bottom of the 7th with a single from Jolie Miracle followed by another single from Mya Ogbodiewgu.
- Layna Pollock would come in to pinch run for Ogbodiewgu.
- Whitney Ellis came in to pinch run for Miracle. Kelly Mclaughlin singled to center field, scoring Ellis from second.
- Niles reached first on an error and attempted to advance to second but was thrown out by the right fielder. Pollock's run did count.
- Alex Henderian suffered the loss in the circle for the Panthers. Hendrian threw 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on four hits, and two strikeouts.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 36-30 against Nova Southeastern the all-time series.
- Ella Niles went 2-3 at the plate with one RBI.
- Cheyenne Nelson is on a 6 game hitting streak.
