LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Tech traveled to Florida Southern to play the Mocs in a midweek regional game. The Panthers could not keep up with the Mocs as they won their eighth consecutive game.

- The Panthers opened the scoring in the third inning with a 2-run home run to left-center field by Jason Blackstone that scored Gabe Garrett.
- Florida Southern matched that with a 2-run home run to center field by Drew Cavanaugh.
- A sacrifice fly to right field by D'Ante Starks gave Southern the lead in the fourth inning.
- The Mocs broke open the game with eight runs on six hits and two walks in the fifth inning.
- A solo home run from Mitch Donofrio sparked a 3-run sixth inning for Southern.
- The final home run of the night for the Mocs came off the bat of Jeff Lequori, a 3-run shot to right field.
- Luca Wentzel delivered a grand slam to left field for Tech in the eighth inning to cut the lead to 17-6.
- A bases-loaded walk gave Tech its final run of the game later in the eighth inning.
- RHP Christian Galindo took the loss for the Panthers. He threw three innings and gave up three earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and one walk.
