STATS OF THE GAME:
- A homerun by Montevallo in the first inning gave them the lead.
- Cheynne Nelson got things going in the bottom of the 1st inning and scored on a wild pitch.
- Ella Gibson drove in a run and Miranda Schwartz followed with 2 RBI to put Tech on top 4-1.
- In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Mikayla Lewin drove in two more runs.
- Kelly McLaughlin singled scoring two more runs for an 8-1 lead at the end of the 3rd inning.
- In the top of the 4th, Montevallo started a rally scoring three runs.
- The Panthers bats continued to stay hot scoring three runs in the 5th inning and one in the 6th.
- Samantha Guider picked up her first win of the season on 50 pitches with five strikeouts.
- Mya Ogbodiewgu had herself a day with 2 hits including her first career homerun and 3 RBI.

Final: Florida Tech 4, West Georgia 3

STATS OF THE GAME:
- West Georgia got on the scoreboard first with one run in the bottom of the first.
- In the 6th inning, Cheyenne Nelson singled to center field driving in Whitney Ellis and Layna Pollock to give Tech a 2-1 lead.
- West Georgia put up one run the bottom of the sixth on a homerun to tie things up at 2.
- With the score still tied at 2 at the end of seven innings, we would head to extras.
- In the 9th inning, Nelson came in clutch with a timely hit to score one run.
- An error by West Georgia allowed Chloe French to score giving the Panthers a 2-run lead heading to the bottom of the ninth.
- West Georgia scored one run in the bottom of the ninth, but the Panthers would come away with the win.
- Freshman Madilyn Dutton earned her first win in the circle with the Panthers.
- Nelson went 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBI on the day.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers now lead 2-0 in the all-time series against Montevallo and 7-3 against West Georgia.
- Panthers finished the day with 21 hits and 16 runs.
