MELBOURNE Fla. - Florida Tech hosted No. 2 Nova Southeastern looking to get its biggest win of the season. The Panthers played tough to the undefeated Sharks, but their firepower was ultimately too much as they defeated Tech and clinched the regular season SSC championship. Â

FIRST HALF:Â Â Â
- Jonathan Pierre for the Sharks drilled three triples early to give them a 9-5 lead. Â
- An inside bucket from Niall Harris off a nice pass from Chase Thompson cut the lead to 12-9.Â
- Nova took its lead to 10 points on a put-back bucket inside from Pierre.Â
- A contested 3-pointer from Thompson cut the lead to five points with 7:54 remaining. Â
- A 9-0 run for Nova pushed its lead to 37-23.Â
- The Sharks scored the last four points of the half to take a 15-point advantage into the locker room.Â
SECOND HALF:Â Â Â
- A 6-0 run for Nova gave it a 48-28 lead early on in the second half.Â
- The Sharks continued to cause Tech problems with a 12-1 scoring run to take a 62-34 lead. Â
- The Panthers struggled to score as the Sharks pushed their lead to 71-36 with 6:56 remaining. Â
- Tech responded with a 10-0 run with buckets from Konstantinos Lagos, Niall Harris, Darragh O'Sullivan, and Elias Martin to cut the lead to 71-46. Â
- Right as the game ended, Theo Klimanoglou drilled a 3-pointer for the Panthers. Â
NOTABLE PANTHERS:Â Â Â
- Harris recorded the only double-double from both teams with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Â
- Thompson was also in double-figures for Tech with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting. Â
- Martin was impactful inside with eight points and seven rebounds. Â
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:Â Â
- The Panthers drop to 37-26 all-time against Nova Southeastern.Â
- Florida Tech shot 35.6% (21-59) from the field and 32% (8-25) from 3-point range. Nova was 39.7% (29-73) and 38.1% (8-21) from behind the arc. Â
- At the free throw line, the Panthers were 43.8% (7-16) while Nova was 81.3% (13-16).Â
- The Sharks won the rebound battle 48-40. Florida Tech had 18 turnovers and forced 10 Nova turnovers. Â
- 79 points is a season-low for the Sharks. Â
