Men’s Lacrosse Collects SSC Win Over Embry-Riddle

FIRST QUARTER: 
  • The Eagles got on the board first before Tech went on a 3-0 run.
  • Noah Stecher tied it up 1-1 of an assist from Zach Rozgonyi with 8:08 to go.
  • 30-seconds later, Luke Policke gave Tech the lead off a feed from Griffin Martin.
  • Gary Lozito pushed the lead out to 3-1 on an unassisted effort with 7:01 on the clock.
  • A Tech turnover allowed ERAU to cut it to 3-2 with 5:05 to go.
  • Policke tallied his second of the day with 3:25 left.
  • Nate Deplancke found the back of the net to close out the opening frame and give Tech a 5-2 lead.
SECOND QUARTER: 
  • ERAU outscored the Panthers 3-2 in the second period.
  • Rozgonyi scored off a feed from Deplancke with 11:19 to go.
  • Deplanke added a goal with 6:25 remaining.
THIRD QUARTER: 
  • Eagles opened the frame with a goal to cut Tech's lead 7-6.
  • After an Eagles turnover, forced by Sam Balch, Panthers moved the ball up the field to get in scoring position. Stewart scored his second of the day on an assist by Deplancke, giving Tech back a two-goal lead.
  • Chandler Hake extended the lead on a feed from Griffin Martin with 7:38 to go.
  • Goalie play picked up, as neither team was able to score the rest of the period.
FOURTH QUARTER: 
  • Three goals were scored in the fourth period, all in the first six minutes.
  • Stecher scored less than a minute into the period on an assist from Deplanke.
  • Policke completed the hat trick with 9:30 to go, giving Tech the 11-7 advantage.
  •  Neither team was able to tally a goal the remainder of the game.
NOTABLE PANTHERS: 
  • Luke Policke led the Panthers with 3 goals on six shots.
  • Nate Deplanke tallied a game-high three assists to go along with two goals, two caused turnovers, and one ground ball.
  • Noah Stecher added two goals and two ground balls.
  • Collin Stewart finished with one goal, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
  • Zach Rozgonyi recorded one goal, one assist, one ground ball, and one caused turnover.
  • Gary Lozito and Chandler Hake each added a goal.
  • Sam Balch collected 10 ground balls to go along with six caused turnovers.
  • Cooper Leonard went 9-13 on faceoffs and collected three ground balls.
  • Jax Francisco finished with 13 saves against 20 shots on goal while also recording one caused turnovers.
