Madilyn Dutton got her first start since February. Dutton pitched an outstanding game allowing just four hits and no runs to help Florida Tech to a series sweep over Barry.
GAME ONE
Final: Florida Tech 1, Barry 0

STATS OF THE GAME:
- It was scoreless through two innings of play before the Panthers got on the board.
- In the third inning, Ella Niles got things going with a bunt single and a stolen base.
- Cheyenne Nelson flew out to shortstop but scored Niles from third for the only run of the game.
- The Panthers had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th but were unable to drive in any more runs.
- In the bottom of the 6th, Florida Tech had another opportunity to add some insurance runs to the board with the bases loaded, but they were unable to do so.
- Hendrian threw a complete game allowing just three hits and no runs for a total of 97 pitches.

Final: Florida Tech 1, Barry 0

STATS OF THE GAME:
- It was a pitcher's duel between Madilyn Dutton and Maci Barnhart.
- In the bottom of the 1st, the Buccaneers had a runner on third, but the Panthers were able to get out of the inning without a run scoring.
- Dutton threw seven complete innings, striking out seven batters, giving up four hits, and allowing no runs.
- Barnhart threw a complete game allowing two hits and just one run.
- Mikayla Lewin tripled down the right field line in the bottom of the 7th.
- With two outs, Mary Polak was up to bat. What looked like a routine popup turned into an error when the ball was dropped by Barry's third baseman allowing Lewin to score the game-winning run.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 31-95 against Barry in the all-time series.
- This is the first series sweep at home since March 2019.
- Madilyn Dutton's seven strikeouts are a new career high.
- Dutton threw the first shutout of her career.
- Hendrian threw her second shutout of the season, the sixth of her career.
- Mikayla Lewin went 3-7 at the plate with her first triple of the season and of her career. Lewin also scored one run.
- Cheyenne Nelson is on a nine-game hitting streak and extended her reached-base streak to 19.
- Nelson was 2-5 at the plate with one RBI.
- Ella Niles had two stolen bases and is now 25-26 on stolen bases this season. Niles scored one run.
UP NEXT: Florida Tech will return home on Wednesday, April 19
th for a non-conference doubleheader against Flagler. The first pitch is set for 4 PM.
