MELBOURNE, FLA.- Panther's softball played a mid-week non-conference matchup against Flagler. Florida Tech dominated in game one 6-1, before taking a close game two 3-2.
GAME ONE:
Final: Florida Tech 6, Flagler 1
Records: Florida Tech (24-22, 13-14 SSC) | Flagler (15-30, 10-14 PBC)

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Through four innings, Alex Hendrian retired 15 out of 16 batters.
- Jordan Sheets of Flagler held the Panthers scoreless through four innings.
- The Panthers got things going in the 5th inning. Mikayla Lewin singled up the middle and stole second.
- Chloe French's RBI single scored Lewin. Kelly McLaughlin's RBI double to left center scored French to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead.
- In the 6th inning, Jolie Miracle singled to left center. Celeste Casillas came in to pinch run for Miracle.
- A double steal by Nelson and Casillas put runners on second and third base. Lewin reached first on a dropped fly ball by the Saint's center fielder. Nelson and Casillas both scored on the play.
- Lewin would come around to score on a passed ball. Whitney Ellis scored another run on a wild pitch.
- The Panthers scored four runs in the 6th inning on three hits and one error.
- The Saints added one run to the board in the top of the 7th on a homerun.
- Hendrian threw a complete game allowing three hits and just one run.
GAME TWO:
Final: Florida Tech 3, Flagler 2

STATS OF THE GAME:
- In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Kelly McLaughlin hit a 2-run home run to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead.
- The Saints had the bases loaded in the third inning but were unable to score any runs.
- Lewin's RBI double to center field drove in Nelson from first to give Tech a 3-0 lead.
- In the top of the 7th, three consecutive singles loaded the bases for the Saints.
- A single drove in two runs for Flagler and the Saints had the tying run at the plate.
- Allison Platon would enter the game in the top of the 7th with one out. Platon struck out the last two batters and secured the save for the Panthers.
- Madilyn Dutton started the game. Dutton threw two innings allowing two hits and three walks.
- Samantha Guider picked up her seventh win of the season. Guider threw 4 innings allowing six hits and two runs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 17-17 against Flagler in the all-time series.
- Tech is 11-6 all-time at home versus Flagler.
- Kelly McLaughlin hit her first home run of the season as well as the first of her career.
- McLaughlin had three hits, three RBIs, and one run scored.
- Cheyenne Nelson extended her hit streak to 11 games.
- Mikayla Lewin had four hits, three RBIS, and she scored a run.
- Lewin is on a five-game hitting streak.
UP NEXT: Florida Tech will return home on Friday, April 28
th to face PBA in the final home series of the season. The first pitch is set for 7 pm.
