TAMPA, FLA- Florida Tech softball traveled to Tampa to take on the No.2 Spartans. Tampa put up five runs in the first inning but was held scoreless the rest of the game. The Panthers put up one run in the sixth inning, but it wasn't enough to beat the Spartans.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- In the bottom of the 1st inning, a single up the middle drove in two runs for Tampa.
- A double scored two more runs. The Spartans scored one more run on a single down the right-field line.
- Layna Pollock singled to shortstop to start the 6th inning. Cheyenne Nelson followed with a single to first base, advancing Pollock to second.
- Jolie Miracle grounded into a double play, but Pollock successfully advanced to third base.
- Pollock scored on a wild pitch.
- Allison Platon suffered the loss in the circle for Tech. Platon threw six innings, allowing five hits and five runs. She walked three and struck out three batters.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 52-72 against Tampa in the all-time series.
- Cheyenne Nelson is on a five-game hitting streak.
