MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's soccer team took advantage in the first half, then sealed the deal with two more in the second half for a 3-0 shutout victory over Florida Southern. The Panthers have outscored their last two opponents at home 8-0.

STATS OF THE MATCH
- In the first 25 minutes, Tech found themselves fighting on the defensive end. Florida Southern took four shots compared to Tech's one.
- However, the Panthers turned it around, taking control of the game later in the first half.
- After four shots, two of which were by Osvaldo Santana, the Panthers were given a golden opportunity with a free kick inside the Mocs' eighteen. Santa slightly rolled the ball Filippo Fazzi's way, and he knuckleballed into the upper right corner of the net.
- The Panthers held the lead for the final five minutes of the first half.
- With all the momentum, Tech took little time to double their lead. Just two minutes into the second half, Mario Rekirsch found Freyr Jonsson for his first goal as a Panther.
- Down by two scores, the Mocs attempted to score, but the Crimson and Gray kept attacking the Florida Southern net, shooting five times in six minutes.
- Nearing the end of the match, Florida Tech keeper Iker Bastida booted a ball down the field, tracked by Eytor Omarsson for the Panthers' third and final goal in the 86th minute.
- Florida Southern fired two more balls at the net, but Bastida was there to keep the Mocs scoreless.
